Spring in the studio comes with some big news: the 11-foot Dangos featured in our Spring 2023 newsletter have made their way through the first firing. In addition to larger works we’re excited to unveil, we’re gearing up to share an array of public art projects and exhibitions near and far.
Before we delve into what’s to come, we want to take a moment to reflect on recent accomplishments. Andy Akiho’s Sculptures, commissioned by the Omaha Symphony to honor Ree & Jun Kaneko was nominated for three GRAMMY® awards this year! It’s been a humbling experience to witness the resonance and impact of Andy’s work on our community and beyond.
