Jun Kaneko finishes work on the final Tanuki sculptures while planning several new installations in the United States and Canada and preparing to receive a very special award. These Tanukis are among the last Kaneko will ever make. He first made Tanuki sculptures in 2011 for the exhibition Legends, Myths, & Truths (Millennium Park, Chicago, IL). Dozens of them have since ended up in installations and exhibitions around the world.
